This tour can be scheduled to begin on any day of the year. It is for private parties (family or friends) who enjoy close times together. This is our most exclusive tour but it is still reasonably priced.

This is a private tour designed primarily for the visitor who wants a truly unique experience. It is offered as a 3, 4 or 5 night trip, sailing from Luxor (Esna) to Aswan on board the historic dahabeyah, Neferu-Ra.

The Neferu-Ra is one of the oldest and most historic boats in Egypt. Built about 100 years ago for Omar Pasha Sultan, it has been lovingly restored and is awaiting your pleasure. Now you can sail up the Nile in authentic Victorian style. The Neferu-Ra is 75 feet long, 14 feet wide and sports two lateen sails. It has three standard staterooms (single) and the Pasha Suite (double with two single beds). The Victorian Salon is ample, at 12 feet square, and is tastefully furnished.

You should be aware that the staterooms are rather small, about 4.5 feet by 6 feet (travelers have commented that they feel cozy, not cramped). Each has two drawers under the bed for storage and a built-in, antique (non-functional) wash basin. The Pasha suite is about 9 feet by 8 feet and has a private balcony aft. There is also a small pantry and a modern toilet and shower. The large sun deck measures 12 feet by 30 feet.

For a FREE color brochure, email us and leave your name and address. If, in addition, you would like to reserve space on this trip, indicate the trip name (Sailing the Nile) and the desired date, and we will send you information, plus save you a place for 15 days. Then if you decide to participate, you will be sure of having a spot. Of course, you are under no obligation.
